One day, after getting over a nasty breakup with her abusive ex-boyfriend by blocking him everywhere on the day before the Ramadan vacations, Yara was lying on her bed all by herself.
She then thought to herself "I'm glad that my ex is now gone from my life.", before grabbing her phone in order to download a game.
There, she saw an attractive male character with pink hair and brownish-pink eyes, who she can relate, and throughout her experience in the game, she later realized that he was not just a tiny pixel, but rather an actual young man with a story of his own and introduced himself to her as Kamal, who is 9 months older than her.
To her surprise, Kamal had several things in common with her, like anime, manga, drawing and video games, which got them along very well through her phone screen, to the point she truly cared about him more than her ex.
"Wow, what a fun game.", she said, before exiting the game and focusing on other things.
The next morning, it was the first day of the Ramadan vacations.
Just as she was about to uninstall the game from her phone for good, his right hand grabbed her left wrist, in horror.
Little did she know that Kamal has a surprise for her: turns out, he is a yandere man who has a crush on her.
"Even if you uninstall the game, I'll still be looking for a way to find you, Yara.", he told her, in a threatening aura.
She got scared and instantly uninstalled the game for good.
"I never thought that Kamal would be like this.", she said to herself, before going back to take a nap, like as if nothing had happened the previous day.
Suddenly, Yara heard someone knocking on the entrance door of the house, and immediately showed up to the entrance, holding a machete.
She then opened the door, and saw him walking closer to her, who tried to walk away upon dropping her machete to the ground, with a bouquet of spider lilies, before he pinned her to the wall.
"You can't be kidding, Kamal... How the hell did you get into my house, on the first day of Ramadan?", she asked him.
"That's because I came here to be with you instead of spending my time alone without you.", he answered back.
She then manages to escape from him by sneaking away from the scene and making a run for her life before hiding under a blanket, like as if she never saw him again.
Just as she thought he was already gone by then, he appeared next to her, and it was then she realized the truth behind his yandere personality.
Turns out, he was a wholesome man who truly loved her more than her ex and will never hurt her in the same way her ex did.
Upon realizing his true intentions, Yara apologized to him for the whole ordeal that happened earlier that day, and he forgave her too.
"Starting from now, I'll be your right-hand man and we'll be together, forever.", he said to her, with a sweet tone.
"Thank you, Kamal. You're way better than I thought.", she replied.
And so, Yara introduced Kamal to her native Mahoran culture, before parting ways with each other at a beach near a supermarket located a few minutes away from her house 2 days later.
"Now, I can at least spend more time on my own.", she said.
That is, until she wakes up in an abandoned high school in a mobile simulation, wearing a school uniform, for some sinister reasons.
"Is it me or is it the fact that I'm now back at school once again...?” she thought to herself, before exploring the area surrounding that mysterious school, before she entered an empty classroom and started reading a book in a way to distract herself and forget everything that happened on the first 2 days.
A few moments later, Kamal showed up, also wearing the school uniform, and asks her about the book she's reading, to which she told him that it was a French-language book, before closing the book and standing up from her seat.
She stared at him in shock, to which he told her "Why are you even shocked at me, even though it's just the two of us in this school?"
"I don't know, but woah, you scared the hell out of me, Kamal. Thank you for always looking out for me.", she said back, before walking out of the classroom and heading towards the shoe lockers to put her outdoor shoes on and put her indoor shoes in the locker.
He then approached and asked her if he could walk her home, to which she agreed to let him do so, and the two of them left the school, before they arrived at his house.
Upon arriving in his room, Yara saw several photos of her plastered on every wall and even on picture frames.
"Kamal, are you crazy or something?! I mean bro, what's with all of these pictures of me in your room!?", she says to him, in complete shock.
He explains to her the context behind the suspicious pictures, and it was then that her hair and eyes started turning blue from her usual black hair and brown eyes, activating her inner form and summoning her glowing dual swords.
"It’s over for you, Kamal.", she spoke to him in French, with a threatening aura.
"Bring it on, ma belle. I'm sure that you won't escape from me or my game ever again.", he replied, while also activating his inner form, turning his hair and eye color to white and pink, summoning a glowing knife at the same time.
The two of them began fighting with each other to the point she immediately ended the fight, by opening a portal back to the real world, detransforming her back to her normal form, and fainting afterwards.
Upon seeing her unconscious, Kamal held her in his arms and began crying, to the point where he told her "Yara, I'm sorry that I had hurt your feelings like this...! Please... Come back!".
Back in the real world, she woke up to Kamal, now back in his normal form, smiling at her.
"Phew, I'm glad that you're awake.", he said to her.
"Me too, but I never thought you were that kind and caring towards me in both the real and virtual world.", she replied.
"It's my pleasure. By the way, can I tell you something?", he asked.
"Of course, go ahead.", she answered back.
"Can I be... your boyfriend, for real...?", he told her, who then said yes to him.
And so, they became more than friends, as they began dating, with the intention of marrying each other within 5 years.
By then, he was already used to the lifestyle in her home island, having completely forgotten about his origins in the game world.
Later that afternoon, they found a guitar and went to the rooftop, where he listened to her singing and playing the guitar at the same time, to the point he began singing with her as well.
After she was done playing the guitar and singing, she put the guitar to the ground and walked towards the front corner of the rooftop.
While being far away from him, she looks at him, with lifeless eyes.
“Kamal, there’s something I truly want to tell you.”, she said to him, with a deathly stare.
“Okay.”, he replied.
“Actually, the truth is… I don’t think that I can be with you any longer in that world.”, she told him, who then realized that she was in danger.
Upon realizing this, the two men saved her from doing the act by holding her from behind and they were lying down on the ground, before they started getting up.
The latter of two then puts her on his thighs, and said “Are you okay, Yara?”
“I’m okay. Thank you, but who are you…? I don’t remember seeing you for a while.”, she asked.
“It’s me, your best friend Elsword! I really missed you so much, so your man summoned me to save you alongside him, you know?”, he replied.
“Wait a second, but Kamal is not my man and we’re not dating. Is there something you guys want from me?”, she said back to him.
“We both want to be with you forever.”, the two men told her.
Yara got stunned and told them “No way.”, before she vanished into thin air.
Later, she wakes up, only to find out that the two men weren’t even real and that they were fictional characters from completely different games, and she was now back in the real world.
There, Lael came over to see her, and she explained to him all about the entire story, which was a dream the entire time.
Upon realizing that it was all a dream, she came up with the idea of inviting her two friends Bruno and Yatomi to come join them in a library, where they would talk about and draw themselves using the crayons provided by the librarians like as if Kamal had never existed to them.
Suddenly, just as they were leaving the library and heading towards their respective homes, he was secretly hiding in the bushes before he followed them along.
After parting ways with Bruno and Yatomi, who headed home respectively on their own, it was just Yara and Lael at the entrance of her house.
The latter asked her if he could stay at her house to be with her, to which she agreed to let him do so.
Later that evening, they woke up at the same mysterious abandoned school in the mobile game she was playing after getting over her ex-boyfriend, wearing nothing but school uniforms.
“Welcome to Higankoi Gakuen.”, a mysterious voice told them.
Lael said “Wait, who’s that voice…?”
Yara replied to him, saying “I don’t know, but I don’t think that it’s Kamal either.”
“There you are, Yara!”, Elsword said to her, while showing up along with Kamal, also wearing the same school uniform as them.
“Oh hey!”, she told him.
Eventually, this led to a heated fight between him and Kamal, to the point Lael told Yara to go upstairs with him and grabbed her right wrist with him to where they can find peace.
As they arrived at the school rooftop, Lael and Yara were all alone by themselves, and just as he was about to confess his feelings for her, Kamal showed up and began revealing his true colors.
“Yara, would you like to be more than just friends with me?”, Lael asked.
“Of course, I would love to!”, she answered him.
Just as they were about to kiss, Kamal yelled in a loud voice “Lael, what are you doing with my Yara?!”
Yara got furious and told him “Hey Kamal, who the hell do you think you are to Lael, huh? Why are you screaming at him like that?!”
“I just want you to be with me instead of that guy!”, he replied.
Little did Kamal knew he was done for, as Lael was the guy who he should not mess up with, due to the latter’s military experience.
Elsword showed up and told the two men “Guys, stop fighting over her! If you really want to be her boyfriends that badly, stop fighting!”
“Thank you for telling them right in their face, bestie!”, Yara said to him.
Kamal and Lael offered her roses.
Several minutes later, Yara made the choice to dump Kamal and chose Lael instead of him.
“Thank you Yara! I knew you were right to choose me instead of him!”, the latter said to her, to Kamal’s disappointment that he said to himself “Damn it! I can’t believe that she chose him over me… I’ll make sure that she’ll be mine in my own world forever.”
“It’s okay Kamal, but you can be one of my friends if you’d like.”, Yara told him.
“In that case, I’d love to be your friend of course!”, he replied.
Ultimately, everything turned out well for the three of them, as Yara and Lael became close friends with Kamal.
5 years later, after she parted ways with Lael due to them not being on the same page as a couple that ultimately led to her breaking up with him and becoming friends with him instead, Yara was now back in the mobile simulation, sitting next to a table, facing Kamal for the last time.
“Yara, I’m sorry for everything that happened throughout these past 5 years. I was so crazy for you to the point I went too far as to almost ruining your relationship with your friend Lael. Remember the day I made a promise to marry each other within 5 years and to never betray you.”, he told her.
“Of course, I remember that from the very beginning.”, she replied.
“So Yara, for once and for all, will you marry me?”, he asked, holding a wedding ring.
“Yes, I do!”, she answered.
In the end, Yara and Kamal had a small wedding ceremony, and are now happily married to each other, as they now head on a honeymoon towards a faraway island located somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
