Update Regarding Mildom

Hello, this is YunokiRoom. We would like to share some updates regarding one of our livestreaming platforms.

Recently, it has come to our attention that Mildom has been shutdown on August 31st, 2024 at 6:00 PM East Africa Time (September 1st, 2024 at 12:00 AM JST).

If you didn't know what this is, Mildom is a Japanese live-streaming platform that has been around for 5 years since it was first launched in 2019 by DouYu Japan, a subsidiary of the well-known Chinese live-streaming platform DouYu.

Due to the shutdown making it impossible for us to retrieve the footage of our previous livestreams from July 2020 to July 2021, we have no choice but to permanently suspend our activities on Mildom.

On the other hand, despite the suspension of our Mildom activities, our existing activities within YunokiRoom, which primarily consists of illustrations, remain unaffected in any way, although at a slow pace due to the staff members focusing on their studies.

Since then, Mildom is now offering refunds for those who have unused premium currency on their accounts for a 2-month period until November 1st, 2024 at 5:59 PM East Africa Time (11:59 PM JST).

In order to get a refund, once you log into their website between September 1st (September 2nd) and November 1st, 2024, you'll be greeted with a Google Docs form to complete, as their refund schedule might be subject to change.

If you have unused premium currency on Mildom, you're eligible for a refund. Unfortunately, if you haven't issued a refund during this period, you'll be disqualified from their refund process.

Please note that they'll not issue a refund if you live outside of Japan. Once you've already applied for the refund process, your application using this Google Docs form will be invalid, and you're free to go.

That's all we have to say in this update about the current state of Mildom itself.

Stay tuned for more updates about the YunokiRoom project.

UPDATE (as of November 22nd, 2024):

2 months later, Mildom announced on Twitter that they've reached out to some of their customers who made a mistake in entering their financial details through email while asking them to contact them via email with correct information right before the deadline for their refund process.

UPDATE (as of April 16th, 2025):
8 months after Mildom was shutdown, DouYu Japan launched a new agency called Euler's Formula, which primarily focuses on talent management and marketing, and as of writing, Euler's Formula introduced four different streamers on their Twitter account, who maintain a presence on relatively obscure live streaming apps like 17LIVE, Pococha (whose US version was shutdown 6 months prior to Mildom's shutdown) and Whowatch.tv, to note a few.
