This story is a separate story from One Night in Riyadh, as it's set 3 years after the events of the former story. This time, it focuses on the adventures of Yara and her male friends in Finland.
July 10th, 2025.
One day, Yara came all the way from her hometown to her birthplace, where she saw Lael waiting for her to come join him in going to the ferry, bound for Dzaoudzi.
The two of them walked in hands to the ferry, where they looked at the sparkling sea below them, until the ferry arrived in Dzaoudzi, with everyone going there at the same time.
Arriving there, the two of them paid for a taxi to hop on in order to reach to the airport, which was located south of Labattoir.
While at the airport, Niels noticed Yara from afar, and greets her with a smile, before asking her and Lael if he could join them in their trip to Helsinki, to which the duo agreed to let him join them, even though the latter was confused at first.
Eventually, they became close friends, as they board the same plane, which was destined for Paris.
Several hours later, the trio arrived in Paris, where they stayed at a cheap apartment for a few days.
While at the apartment, Lael managed to book a flight bound for Estonia for him, Yara and Niels through his phone, so that they can continue on their way to go to Helsinki.
3 days later, it was time for them to leave Paris, as they had already packed their bags and are already headed towards Estonia.
Upon arriving in Tallinn, they saw a 40-something man named Toomas, who offers to take them with him on his car through a ferry destined for Helsinki.
By the time they arrived in Helsinki, Niels decided to part ways with Yara and Lael, leaving the two of them alone, as he hopped on a taxi bound for Pori, only to be never seen again.
"Now that it's just the two of us, right?", Yara said to Lael, while looking at him.
"Of course. Let's go to a café.", Lael replied, before holding her hands.
They arrived at the café, where they ordered coffee and had a great time chatting with each other like as if they were dating.
Eventually, the sun goes down in Helsinki, as the duo left the café after paying their bills separately, and went to a nearby hotel to stay at for the rest of the night.
The next day, they checked out of the hotel and ordered a taxi to come pick them up, to which Lael told the driver to take the two of them to his parents' house, which was in a small town near Turku, since his parents weren't home that day.
While at his parents' house, he cooked lunch for Yara and himself, before going to a sauna with her.
Afterwards, upon getting out of the sauna, they ended up in a nearby forest, where he was now facing her, to which he announced that he's leaving for the military by December of this year and told her not to worry about him as he will be sending her letters from time to time until the day he gets discharged from the military.
Upon realizing this, Yara started to cry with happiness and wished Lael good luck in his military years.
He then asked her if he can hug her, to which she agreed, and he eventually hugged her, before she kissed him in return.
Soon, after they were done kissing each other, Lael was all over the moon with her love, to which he asked her out, holding some of the flowers that he found while on their way to the house.
"I have something to tell you.", he said.
"Sure thing, go ahead." , she replied.
To her surprise, he then tells her that he has been in love with her since the day she started going to high school, and was more than happy to become her future husband if he were to see her again.
"Lael, if you don't mind, would you like to be my boyfriend?", Yara said, to which he overwhelmingly agrees to, and as such, the two of them started to exchange numbers, before they walked away from the forest and arrived in Turku.
However, since her mother and sisters were waiting for her in Helsinki, she calls a taxi to come pick her up and drive her all the way there.
"Yara, can I accompany you?", Lael said, and she agreed.
The taxi arrived in Helsinki, where her mother and sisters Hazel and Machel have been waiting for her, when suddenly, they ask her about the guy next to her.
She tells them that he's her boyfriend, only for them to become skeptical.
To their surprise, he actually started talking to them in French and Hazel asks him "Who taught you how to speak in French?"
"It's your older sister Yara who taught me French.", Lael replied to her, to Hazel's relief, before he continued with "What brings you and your family here in Helsinki?"
"We're here to check on our daughter, who went missing for the past 6 days. Is she doing okay?", H said.
"I'm okay, mom, you don't have to worry about me now.", Yara replied, reassuring her mom that everything is okay and that they're all in Finland.
Her mom and sisters minded their own business and left the scene.
Soon, Yara and Lael headed towards the latter's apartment, where they started to lay down on his bed, facing each other, and eventually sitting down to watch something through a projector.
The next day, she wakes up to him cooking breakfast for the two of them, and together, they had their breakfast.
After they were done eating, Yara told Lael that she was about to leave Finland in order to join her family in France, and at first, he was sad to see her leave him all alone, but then, she made her decision to bring him with her at the last minute.
As such, they both packed their things, and as soon as they arrived in northern Estonia, they encountered their friend Niels, who they last met several days prior.
"Niels, where have you been this whole time?", Yara said.
"I just arrived here through Helsinki. I heard that even though I had a crush on you ever since I've heard that you wanted to become a game developer, but I never thought that you have a boyfriend since you were single for a long time, so how's things going with him?", Niels replied.
"It was great. Together, we're planning to go back to France so that I can spend more time with him and my family there.", she responded back.
"Oh, that's great! I would love to join you guys here!", he said, feeling excited about joining his new friends.
2 weeks later, now back in her hometown, the three friends are now having a great time at a gazebo opposite her former elementary school, saying "Cheers!" while toasting paper cups containing orange juice, in midst of a sunset.
"Let's have an another round of orange juice this time, guys!", Yara said, with an excited tone.
"Yeah!", the two of them responded, in the same tone as her.
And so, they all lived happily ever after.
