Pastel Frontier 2 Prologue

Original date: August 14, 2024

2 years ago, Genesis and her younger brother Blade, aged 19 and 18 at the time, accompanied by their father, found a treasure in the middle of the pastel-colored woods, when suddenly, a hitman was hiding in one of the trees, holding a knife.

He showed up, running to stab their father, who told his daughter and son to run before dying. The two of them obliged, and they ran away from the scene, only for the hitman to chase after them, who ended up in a cliff.

Suddenly, just as Genesis was about to jump off the cliff with her brother, the hitman spared their lives upon realizing that she was a woman, before letting two of them go and jump from the cliff.

Soon, the two siblings ended up being washed ashore on a river, before going to a cave that led to a village, where Blade found a house for him and his sister to live after they were left alone without parents.

By the time they started living in this house, Genesis found a scroll and started to study it using a sword that was left behind.

Soon, the two of them started to train each other using swords.

7 years later, Blade was now a 25-year-old swordsman.

One day, while wandering in a forest trail with his sister, now aged 26, he saw a bear running after him, when suddenly, he fell down to the ground, and a woman about the same age as his sister, came to his rescue by scaring the bear away with her maple-themed attacks.

Blade thanked her for saving him, to which she introduced herself as his best friend Maple.

Not long after, upon seeing her attractive appearance and personality, he started to have feelings for her, and so, the two of them started dating.

Eventually, the two of them were sitting next to each other in a hill, with him saying to her that he wants to avenge his father, and she tells him that she wants to introduce him to her own father at her own house, without realizing that his father had passed away 7 years prior.

Upon hearing her words, Blade embraced Maple in his own arms, before going to the same house he and his sister lived in 7 years ago, for the night.

The next day, she takes him to her house, where her father, who was the one who killed his father, and he tried to attack him, only for her to come to his defense.

In the end, although she saved his life, she fell into his arms, causing Blade to cry over her body.

He calmed down, and he got angry towards her father to the point he told him "I'm never going to forgive you anymore for what have you done to her...!" before carrying her away to a isolated spot in the woods.

Upon arriving in the woods, Blade laid Maple on the ground, and he saw a woman 3 years his junior, walking with a box of pastel crayons, who was later revealed to be Pastel-chan.

He asked her if she can save his lover, to which she agreed to save her by drawing a maple leaf to wake her up.

Upon waking up, Maple had no idea that her lover was still on her side.

Soon, she and Blade were more than happy to see each other, to which they started to kiss each other.

August 14th, 2024.

One day, outside the game, after receiving an email from the developers of Pastel Frontier to compose music for an advertisement of their upcoming online game, now known under the name of Pastel Frontier 2, DJ Shams, a 31-year-old singer-songwriter from Saudi Arabia, headed to the headquarters.

Upon arriving in the recording studio, he encountered two different voice actors recording voice lines for the existing NPCs Blade and Pastel-chan, who they were cast as, before asking them if they could collaborate with him on his new song, to which they agreed to collaborate with him, using the names of the characters they were cast as.

Soon, the music was a success to the point it began to be used for the game's advertisement, and the music video went viral that several players started to play Pastel Frontier 2 for the very first time since its very first closed beta test, all the way up to its release 2 weeks later.

Around that time, there lived a completely different VTuber named Mofuru Sugikura (杉倉もふる), who was about the same age as DJ Shams.

Unlike him, she was a member of Pastel Frontier 1's development team since day one and left the company after Pastel Frontier 1 was shutdown.

One day, while in her room, she stumbled upon an advertisement promoting Pastel Frontier 2, which, and so, she decides to give the game a try, only for her to get transported into the game.

Soon, she found herself in the house where Blade and his sister lived, all alone on her bed, sleeping the whole time, when suddenly, she wakes up to a weapon she had only seen in the first game, and it was none other than a sword and a book.

Upon wielding the sword and book as her weapons, Mofuru left the house.

While wandering in the hills, she encounters Blade, Maple and Pastel-chan, who were both way younger than her, for the first time, with him asking her if she could come join the three of them in their quest to find the missing Pastel Crayons, scattered throughout the Pastel Desert, to which she agreed.

And so, the story of Pastel Frontier 2 begins...
